Test two...

Testing My New Toy

Goodbye 6th graders

Grades close as the 1st semester ends Friday.  Goodbye 6th graders. Thanks for doing your best and for making teaching for me enjoyable.  I will miss you as you head up stairs to Tech Ed. Good Luck and have fun making some cool things. I'll see you around. Feel free to come in and visit me and KEEP DRAWING.
Here I am to save the day!   HA! HA!

Some of our recent projects have been origami, mixing paint to make inventive colors, pouring plaster to create relief sculptures, objects made out of ceramic clay and "cups" that hold drink or food.  Stop into school to see what's being displayed on the walls, in the showcases and from the ceiling outside the cafeteria.

We are now beginning a drawing unit on various drawing techniques covering Contour drawing, Blind drawing and drawing Combined shapes to create the object. We are also learning to measure by holding a pencil just the way real artists do. Measuring has everything to do with fractions. It's a good way to keep math going strong.

Be prepared for some more of my educational art videos. Keep in mind, this is new for me so you might be in for a good laugh. I'll keep you posted.
